Tax Advisory

Private Advisory

Combined structures.

Layered arrangements designed to work together across jurisdictions.

What it is

When one vehicle is not enough.

A single vehicle rarely answers a complex cross-border position. More often the answer is a combination — a foundation above a holding company, a trust holding shares, a private trust company at the apex — each part chosen for what it does well, and assembled so the whole holds together.

Designing that whole is where advice earns its place. We model how the layers interact for tax, control and succession, make sure no part undermines another, and coordinate the providers who build each one. The architecture is ours to design; the building and administration sit with regulated providers.

How we advise

Architecture

Choosing which vehicles to combine, and how they sit in relation to one another.

Interaction and tax

Modelling how the layers are treated together, not just apart.

Control and succession

Designing where control sits today and how it passes tomorrow.

Coordination

Instructing and aligning the trustees, agents and lawyers who build each layer.

Important information

The basis on which we advise.

This page is general in nature and does not constitute tax, legal or financial advice. Advice is given only under a formal engagement, on the basis of your specific circumstances.

ORA Black advises on the design, selection and coordination of structures; it does not act as trustee, foundation council member or administrator, and does not hold client assets. Fiduciary, formation and administration services are provided by appropriately licensed and regulated providers. Where regulated financial services are required, these are provided through ORA Black’s partnership with NEBA Private Clients.
